Time rushes

I told you before that I was working on a PowerMac G4 and going to buy me a new and shiny MacBook Pro 17″. Because I’m participating in a group order I have no influence on the date the order is placed – it didn’t happen until now, but the newest rumours say it will be ordered in the course of the week. Yes! Luckily I’m working on a PowerMac G5 with dual 2,7GHz processors and 2,5GB of RAM (I had to upgrade it from 512MB in order to be able to use it) since two weeks. I’ve got it as a loan of my school to design our pupils’ magazine until I’ve got my MacBook Pro.

Last Thursday our class was on a trip to Munich to visit some places of historical importance. It was a nice day but since I have been to Munich several times now I didn’t learn that much new stuff this time. Our main target was a exhibition of things related to the bavarian crown around the time of 1800 in which we could take a look at some very opulent decorated swords, crowns and medals as well as busts of Napoleon.
On Friday I attended the practical test of driving school after having passed the written exam some time ago. Well, until my 18th birthday in November I’m only allowed to drive in accompaniment of one of my parents, but the final step to driving is done.

For now I’m a little stressed because of that pupils’ magazine that wants to get done and I’m waiting for my MacBook Pro. By the way, the problem I told you about is solved – I’m now the proud co-owner of an USB-DVB-T stick from Terratec that works like a charm with Elgato’s EyeTV on this G5 where I could watch Germany winning against Sweden today. But this is a story to be told another time…

Personally my money is on Germany to win the world cup. So long as Portugal (who knocked England out) or Italy (who dive too much) don’t win ill be a happy guy.
