After having read another blog post about twitter a few days ago, yesterday I decided to have a shot at it.

I didn’t do very much testing yet, but what I saw until now is pretty cool. Besides giving you the opportunity to answer the question what are you doing? whenever you feel the need to do it, you can easily text a message to multiple friends at once — for example to organise the location you’re going to meet that evening.

Particularly sweet: You can use twitter over the web, through third-party apps (like Twitterific) or by txting messages via your mobile phone — incoming messages are txted to your phone as well. For free!

I’m using Twitterific on my MacBook Pro and the possibility to receive messages on my phone — twitter’s web interface is fairly slow compared to other websites. You can find my tweets on my profile or right here on this website.

Now I have to go and convince some friends to join as well…
